It is evident that Caroline loves the beach and ocean life that is the main focus in her work. She has lived on the coast all of her life beginning in Greenwich, Connecticut and moving to St. Simons Island, Georgia in 1973 and then to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida in 1982 where she resides today with her husband, Richard, and their two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. She has two married sons, two granddaughters and one grandson. “Living by the ocean is such a big part of my life. I love the beach and all it has to offer. No day is ever the same. I can't ever imagine living anywhere else.”
Caroline studied watercolor for many years and then switched her canvas from paper to ceramic bisque. Primarily self taught, she takes classes and workshops several times each year from other professional artisans and craftspeople. Her brightly hand painted original ceramic pieces can be seen in shops and galleries from Maine to Key West and throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean Islands
Caroline participates in several fine art shows and high end trunk shows during the year with a major emphasis in Florida. Her home studio is ablaze with color and activity all year long. Her whimsical approach to her art is definitely reflected in both her home and gardens.
